Company of Heroes 2.4 patch finally here.

This new update didn't delete my saves but now the game just crashes to desktop when I try to launch it.

When I try to send the crash report.... well that crashes aswell...

a mate had the same problem, does it say ai_error?

he fixed it, something to do with regional settings in vista, i'll get more info if you need it...

all my saves are nackered now too, on both my my laptop (vista) and my desktop (xp pro) but both are working (playable)

No doesn't say anything mate just drops to desktop as it prepares to launch the game, gets to about 50%. Seems to be quite a common problem with this game.

Ok, not sure which fixed it but I did all these and now the game loads and plays!

I deleted all the save games from my documents,
then I ran defrag,
then I restarted windows (Vista-64)

So might be worth trying each of those see if you're having same problem.
