comparing linux to windows

Ah righty-o. It should still be there yeah unless you've set IE to clear the temp files. I've found in the past that if a download fails I can get it to resume by going back to the website and using the exact same link/server and it restarts but carries on from where it left off.

Didn't work all the time which is when I went onto download managers that can resume downloads for you. ;)

Yeah I've found its not worked too well with IE7. Ah well just have to start again. Try something like Free Download Manager to keep the download safe and resumable.

If you use ubuntu linux I wouldn't say linux isnt usable.. some people havn't used linux for years and thats why they say its not usable! Ubuntu comes with a gui by default like windows does.

It has a much more powerful shell/command prompt and can be administered with only a prompt or with a gui.. it is more powerful and easier to configure with no gui. It is also more secure due to UNIX foundations.

Of course it can have a GUI if the user wants to! Servers are usually installed with no gui and desktop Linux is usually installed with a GUI. Its very easy to use, I think anyone could manage to use Ubuntu.
