...and still the rubbish resolution on the ipad2, why no retina display??.

Well, its not a 'rubbish' resolution but it could have been improved I agree.

The internals of the iPad2 are now capable of supporting a 9.7' Retina screen (apparently) but at this moment in time the cost would be too high for Apple to implement it effectively, they wanted to keep the price the same.

It will no doubt be on the iPad3 though.

I'll correct that, they want to make more profit per device shipped, adding retina would have cost more but they could have kept the price point if they really wanted too.

Biggest appapp I need is itunes/subsidiaries similar.
But also games and other stuff. Calendar app is annoying on android can't find one with custom colours for events. I miss the lovefilm app, tvcatchup, digiguide and several others. I'm not a huge appreciate whore but do have a small but specific list.
Blackberry and other smaller companies will never get most of the apps and as use changes will get further and further behind.

No need to get emotional, you obviously don't find it hilarious ;)

I just find it funny that you're an advocate of inferior devices at the same costs as others, it might be your opinion, but there's no getting away from the fact that BlackBerry handsets are worse than others in the market at similar price points.

As for your knee jerk reaction in regards to calling me a Android fan, you'll never find me paying money for Android devices when there's better options are the market for the same price.

I'll quite happily jump ship to Apple, BlackBerry, Windows Phone 7 if I was in the market for a new handset and a certain manufacturer gave me the most for my money. I don't base my decisions on a love for a brand.

Secondly, it's been well documented here that I do not like pure AOSP Android and Android only really suffices for me when it has a decent UI overlay included to which only HTC have managed to meet that criteria.

Anyone would have thought I insulted you in the post

Not getting emotional at all...just grates on me when people such as yourself dont seem to understand that people have a choice in what they choose ie people will choose an iphone over Android and etc etc...you get the gist.

Fair enough its your opinion that BB's are inferior to Android or other platforms, in hardware definitely but software i dont neccessarily agree as my needs are different to what Android offers and at the moment the BB satisfies all of them...In the past 3 yrs that ive been using BB's they have the things i want to do with ease...personally apps wise is where i find BB's the weakest but meh i have the iphone4 to satisfy my apps need if and when i need certain apps. If that makes me a subject of ridicule then so be it...like i said ive tried all the other platforms and sorry they just dont do it for me so i stick to what i know best...in my case the Blackberry because it does what i want it to do with minimum of fuss....why should it bother u so much that i pay £400 for a BB when i could easily spend the same amount on Android and get something thats better hardware spec....and no i dont find the software on Android to be that particularly amazing....although i will say rooting is interesting with some of the stuff that ive seen people do to their Android handsets but sorry it just DOES NOT interest me simple as that.

You dont see me barging into an Android thread and posting stupid things ie dont go for an Android go for a BB or something, because i realise that not everyone has the same needs that i have....tbh i dont have a real need for a 1+ghz cpu with a crappy battery life...everyone has a choice and ive made mine and until something major comes out that really wows me then ill re-consider my choices...at the moment the only thing i like about Android is the hardware specs on them...they are something else and its a shame that BB is trailing but the new 2011 devices will have beefed up cpu's ie 1.2ghz+ with more RAM...so they are getting there slowly but surely.

Anyhow ill leave it there and no you havent insulted me at all, far from it my friend...i just found your post interesting to say the least:).
