Compatible GPU

Thank you, guys. I've purchased my GPU. The only problem I have now are the PCI-e cables. Are any PCI-e cables good enough, or do I need my PSU's?
Don't mix cables from different sources - it can end in bangs, smoke, and dead components.

Different manufacturers use different pin arrangements on the PSU side. So it's risky. If you're willing to measure the pins and confirm the cables have the same layout, it will be ok. But best to be safe.

Your CPU cooler is incorrectly installed based on those pictures. It will lead to very high temperatures and possible shutdowns.

Most cards come with a dual molex to six-pin adaptor, though any PSU which doesn't even have a basic six pin should generally be avoided for use with any half-decent GPU and be replaced with a semi-respectable model.

£40 would get you a proper reliable PSU.

I cannot thank you enough. After what you said, I decided to hopelessly check my CPU cooler and always found it quite odd why it was hanging so weirdly. I rearranged it, pushed it in and now I can finally play my favourite games. Seriously, if you hadn't had mentioned the cooler, I wouldn't have checked it. Thank you so much.
