complete disk format

Hi all, are there any freeware programs that will throughly erase all data from my hard disk? I have a few drive I wish to sell on... But obviously dont want to leave sensitive data on there. Cheers.

You want something to cover your HDD with random data (0's and 1's) as nothing is ever deleted as such, just tagged to be overwritten at the next opportunity.
