Complete waste of £80 million

What a complete waste of money! Surely the money could have been spent on something needy for the UK. Something like, the homeless, cancer research, hospitals etc.
In fairness you could argue that about anything involving art/music/sport.

Hell if you stopped teaching them in schools you would save billions, would impact our culture negatively though.

Ignore "kool"pc as he's a known ***** for making crap up / talking nonsense.
And so you feel the requirement to flame him when he makes a decent thread on a topic worthy of discussion?

Got to chuckle really. The OP makes this thread expecting everyone to join him in moral outrage; discovers the vast majority think it's great.

It's £80 million pounds. Not all of it is public money. Basically, a grain of sand in the Sahara. A relatively modest spend toward rejuvenating a rundown area.

There's genuine wastes of money that are actually worthy of ire. This isn't one of them.

Really? Why would I expect everyone to agree with me? I thought we all had free will?

You've lost me there. What has free will go to do with my post?

Or are you suggesting that you posted this up with no expectation of others opinions? In which case, why the emotive and coercive use of language? People don't tend to say "Look at this! Isn't it ridiculous?" without believing others will agree.

It's why he's a troll :)

Not entirely sure why that word was starred out when ubersonic quoted it though as its fine on my initial post

Then you don't know people buddy.

Yeah, what is it with architects these days complying with the laws of physics?!

Due to the design of the sloping walls this doesn’t transfer well to the internal dimensions of the ground floor. There have already been comments about the size of the lobby and how big it could have been.

I hear the stuff inside is like that too. What a waste, I'm going to IKEA instead.

Sorry to inform you Ikea isn’t a museum. Bet you feel like an idiot now.
