completing a game!

I'm probably the worst person ever at completing games these days.

S'okay, back in the days of NES and Sega I complete many, but since the Playstation/N64 I could probably count on two hands how many games I've completed.. :o

Dawn of War is the only one I've finished in the past two years, and I've played LOADS.

I did get a toon to 50 in LOTRO, so I suppose that counts. Mind you, that was the first time I've ever maxed a character in an MMO, and I must have played about 20 different ones since Ultima Online.

I'm pretty bad with this too i just lose track gotta stick to one game and go through without stopping otherwise once ive stopped i just forget completely what i was doing and what is going on.

Sonic the hedgehog 2 was the first game i ever completed through and through unlocked super sonic by getting the chaos crystals. ahh those was the days loved the sonic games except 3D that one wasnt as good :(

Otherwise i think most satisfying game ive completed was Final Fantasy 7. The amount of hours that went into that game blimey. i had a golden Chocobo I had killed both the emerald and ruby weapons. That is hardcore !! :p

Hmmm, completed quite a few games. Some go unfinished due to them being poor. Games i have completed (that i can remember)

Arcanum
HL + HL2/EP1/EP2
Portal
Deus Ex 1/2
C&C all of them
Mechwarrior all of them
Total Immersion Racing - (that is a rare one, a racing game that MADE me finish it in 1 sitting)
CoD4 - Done that in 1 evening/night. Gripped me till the end.
GTA 1/London1969/2/3/VC not SA (too boring) and 4
Sacred
Unreal Tournament (didnt do the others, they were a let down)
Quake all of them
X - Well i got to the end of the story

+ loads of the old FPS style games (Doom, Duke3d etc)

These days most games are all about the looks. Everything has to be 'real', that means blurry graphics with **** loads of bloom all viewed through a used coffee filter. I really want the games to move away from this. Its just a lame distraction from the fact that they havent bothered to work on much the gameplay.

Just looking at my games collection, out of the last 30 games i've bought i've completed one.

I used to spend hours completing games, these days i lose interest easily for some reason, maybe just getting old :(

The ones i can remember are..

Crysis
COD4
Bioshock

Then again my short list is due to multiplayer games with nearly 1000 hours between BF2 & UT2K4.

I am working on alone in the dark at the moment :)

I get annoyed with myself if I put a single player game to one side. I have to complete it otherwise I probably never will. I'm definitely not one of those people who gets the game and blizts through it in the quickest time possible. May be an hour and a half a night and then may be a bit longer if I'm close to the end. If the game is very linear (most first person shooters) then that time scale applys. When it comes to the more open world, freestyle games then I like to spend more time getting my self lost in the game.

Lord knows what games I have or haven't completed. Been playing consoles, amiga, pc games since I was about 10. Be good if i could remember all the games though

Well i have started on completing games that I have, first game on the list is Doom 3, started off a lot of fun but im about half way through now and im getting a tad bored with it, too repetitive with no significant change in scenery :/

I waste SO much money on games, I have literally everything newish and always have had. Out of all those games, I've completed Prey, Portal and CoD4.

I will get around to completing others one day...!

I used to play games all the way through, but most of the time I find myself wanting to do other things and since the multiplayer bug hit me I haven't really played a single player game properly since. A few exceptions of the past few years have probably been HL2+EP1&2, Medal of honour, and COD 1. All prior to that would've been the typical stuff like Deus Ex, HL1, etc.

For me completing a game was all i had to do living in the worst place ever and not net.

Completed loads of old sega games on Master System and Mega Drive (done a few again with emulator on pc Wonderboy 3 on MS mainly)

Legend of zelda games normally get most content and get to last battle lose once give up come back a year or 2 later lol

but since i got net a few years ago single player games just seem to be pointless eg xbox360 why spend £40 on a game that lasts about a week when you can get one with mostly multiplayer

For me single player games with no multiplayer are so pointless unless are cheap and handheld games.
