This proves the absolute idiocy of these weekly threads, none of these suggestions fit the OP's criteria, everyone just wants to talk about their favourite chair or what they personally spent £250 on.
Jesus, £900 for a chair?
The IKEA Markus is a good shout though.
I picked up mine for about £200, and it's going to be a hell of a lot better for your back than some cardboard tat from Ikea.
Valid suggestion I reckon. No use having a cheap piece of crap chair in front of your pc.
I know it's a ****-ton of money for a chair but honestly it's like sitting on air.
Just think how long you spend in it if you do a desk-job and/or sit at a desk at home to use a computer.
If you can get a £900 chair for £200 second hand it starts to sound like a much better deal.
do their guarantees cover wear and tear?
Do Hermon miller honour warranties on second hand chairs?
I've just ordered a refurbished Aeron from simplyaeron.co.uk.
Mk2 Black Size B Fully Loaded Aeron Chair - Lumbar Support, Levered Arms, Tilt Limiter, Front Tilt, Vinyl Arm Pads - Just over £400 + £12 delivery, hope my back thanks me for it.
In that price range, what would you suggest?.
I have a Markus just now and i'm not liking it.
I use the itoki spina which second hand can be had for less than that, although they are hard to find.
As others have mentioned thinks like humanscale freedom, steel case leep V2, steelcase gesture if you can spot one as they are now out so not likely to be many second hand ones about etc. Even the Herman miller embody at £450ish that would be around ebay prices.
Is there a big difference between the first leap and v2?, seems to be a lot more of the first versions about.
I actually quite like the look of this one. http://www.lockwoodhume.co.uk/Expre...-Stone-Plus-Office-Chairs/Hoveton-2269ATG.ice
