Computer chair suggestions?

I've just ordered a refurbished Aeron from simplyaeron.co.uk.

Mk2 Black Size B Fully Loaded Aeron Chair - Lumbar Support, Levered Arms, Tilt Limiter, Front Tilt, Vinyl Arm Pads - Just over £400 + £12 delivery, hope my back thanks me for it.
It will do, I brought mine second hand a while back now and still as good as the day I brought it into my home office.

I just got fed up with buying cheap £150 to £200 chairs that promised loads and just fell apart within 18 months.

Everyone seems to recommend this chair, and whilst it has been pretty comfortable over the last 4 or so years, now all of the padding in the base has pretty much worn out and it feels like sitting on bricks.

Not a sign of any wear on mine, had it since I was around 18/19 I think, so 7-8 years.

I know it was sub £100 when I purchased, so must have been some time ago! maybe the newer versions aren't as sturdy!

I would buy a second hand chair if it was used in an office but not one that was used at home. Those aeron chairs look amazingly comfortable.

Those human scale are comfortable but i think that is the type of chair i used at work and its the type where the back can not be locked and forces you to sit upright all the time.

This is the one i have been considering, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Steelcase...plies_Office_Furniture_ET&hash=item4d19c8d640

But the £38 delivery just seems too steep. I probably going to visit the premises and take the chair home on the trains. Save £40 and pick the best one.

I'm 6'4" too and I recently went on the hunt for a new office chair. I tried many Steelcase chairs and found that their back was too short for me. You might find the same.

I was very close to buying a new Ergohuman chair but ended up buying an Eliza Tinsley Mesh High Back Executive Armchair with Adjustable Headrest from Amazon UK instead. I couldn't justify spending £500 when I was only spending a few hours in the chair, at most.

One of my friends got a really, really nice Posturite RH Logic 400 chair from some sort of disability education grant scheme when he was at university about 10 years ago. His chair has an RRP of about £1200 and my friend says that the chair is still operating great to this day. It was probably the most comfortable office chair that I've ever had the pleasure of sitting in and I've tried quite a few over the years.

Can someone recommend a good place to buy a Steelcase Leap at a very good price?
I seen some on ebay for £150-200 for the v1, or is it worth getting the v2 over it?
