Evening,

I am looking for a decent computer chair that will give good support to my back. I currently have one of the ikea faux leather chairs, a high back model, but im finding after more than a few hours sitting in it can be uncomfortable.

Budget is upto £150.

so far the one of the best i have seen is this one.

Also went to a local office supplies store today and had a sit in a few, found one that was extremely comfortable and was £160, but thought i maybe able to do better on the good old tinternet,

Any ideas and suggestions greatly appreciated, i really need to alleviate my back pain as i spend far too many hours infront of my pc :D

^^ They have a really good range of chairs at the moment, was in my local store the other day, some of them were unbelievably comfy (the soft leather ones). Considering changing mine.

Seen this at my local Costco when shopping last week for Wispa's :D

Seemed really impressive to me - there's quite a few other retailers out there selling this specific chair though.

always liked the idea of a car seat converted into an office chair...just never get round to sourcing/making one

I got one of these a few weeks ago to replace my aging argos one and its really comfy. I managed to get it for £80 plus vat along with a totally random free set of digital kitchen scales :D. Ive just looked and i cant seem to find that deal now and i wouldn't say the chairs worth £150 plus vat, but worth looking out for if its going cheap again. I think you get a free maglite torch at the moment.

i have the same chair, and its very comfy, got mine for 119inc vat about 6 months ago, its still as soft now as it was then, well worth the money.

Thats good to hear :), my old chair started falling apart after a month and the seat cushion compressed to 1mm thick so it was like sitting on a bumpy plastic base.

I was about to click buy at the £150+vat price then i thought id just stick the product name in google to see if the same chair is cheaper anywhere else. To my surprise the same chair on the same website was priced at £80+vat . I looked and looked and couldn't see it anywhere on the site so must have been only available through google?. So got 6% off via quidco as well and a free set of precision digital kitchen scales as well :D.

Can you link us up to that? That deal sounds stunning, and I am in serious need of a chair!

I bought a new chair last week, very comfy with a nice high back for watching vids. :)

Not identical to the above, but very similar. Was £100 reduced from £130, yet I've just found it for £90 on their site. doh!

I can't link to it as they are a competitor... but they've been linked to a couple of times in this thread if you want a look. ;)

check out the marcus chair on the ikea site!

its really comfortable and if you are tall it has good support

I occasionally have back problems, and lost my HUGE comfy proper office chair as there wasn't enough space in my room for it.

Was relegated to a very basic chair with no arms (which, despite not really using them, makes my back worse) then picked this up from Argos (for a tenner less than advertised) and it's one of the most comfortable chairs I've ever had :)

The back is actually sprung so can give support or be used to recline (to some extent) on.

Speaking of comfort, just ordered a herman miller Aeron chair :)

£380 from eBay. Bargain, considering they're nearly £1000 new :D

Heres hoping some fat bloke hasn't hammered it ;) :D

A, B or C ?;p
out of the the "A", "B", "B/C", "C" areas, my body-build fits in the upper end of the "B", but very nearly in the B/C. I'm losing weight though, so B is definitely right for me :)

Collected it today, here it is in all its glory :D
