hi guys im building a computer desk, because its going to be only 600mm x 1100mm but the motherboard tray will only be 300mm depth.

so what im planning to do is raise the motherboard and fit two 120 fans as an exhaust under the motherboard, now would that be a problem, i cant see it being a problem but i thought i would check.

build log to follow

sitting at my desk at work now measuring from tops of my legs to the desk surface = 90mm
If i put some thick books to bring that to 200mm it puts my arms into an uncomfy position that would not be nice "for me" to work at, you might find 200mm no problem at all, just trying to help :)

now for my hardware

Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 Windforce 3X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

corsair h100

Corsair Dominator PLATINUM 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz

Samsung 256GB SSD 840 PRO SATA 6Gb/s

Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB

Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache (WD20EARX) HDD

corsair ax580

BitFenix Spectre PRO 120mm Fan Blue or white LED - Black x5 OR

CF-V12HP Cougar Fan with Hydro-Dynamic Bearing,MTBF300,000hrs and Auto Sensor Control x 5

NZXT CB-LED10-BU 12x Blue LED Sleeve - 1m

i still cant decide wot fans and the setup,as my cpu is cooled by my h100, i was thinking about 4x 120 fans as intake and maybe 1 or 2 120 fans as exhaust.

so my question is would 1x 120mm fan be enough as an exhaust

i like to keep a little positive pressure in cases with always 1 more intake than out.

Also with a desk like your building i would think it even more important to have a small amount of positive air pressure stop dust being sucked into any cracks/gaps in the structure. I'd go 3 in, 2 out, or 4 in 3 out.. just make sure you have some form of washable /removable filters on the intakes.

well her goes i have started with the base and working up, as its going in a alcove it has to be small, but i wanted to do something different

so i started with the frame work
