I don't really use the dvd bay. Anyway that's all different now, I no longer have that tft, tower etc. Where the tower used to be is now used to store all my lovely apple box collection (apple cinema display, ibook, 20gig ipod, 30gig photo, 30gig video) Soon will add a macbook, ipod shuffle, bluetooth keyboard and mouse box to that bit
Not really, people spend stupid amounts on brand new fancy graphics cards etc. My bets are that 99.99% of this forum have a pc worth more than their desk, then they sit their all hunched up in a tiny desk area to use it
£99 - My "Student" Corner Workstation.
Affordable, practical and from my sitting position, I get the 5.1 surround sound effect (IMHO) better than most people's set-up layout.
Such a shame I'm cascading the whole system but the printer to my little brother - getting me a macbook and a set of JBL Creatures 2 speakers. Time to "stop gaming" and get "more creative".
May not be clean just now, but there is a lot of space for the room i area i had to work with! bookcase on the end out of shot gives good general starage.
bout £25 all in from ikea top + legs - and i had to shorten it for my room, so could b bout a foot longet and 3" deeper if u keep the original.
Most people have them 5.1, with both front and back speakers in the front. (I'm talking about majority) It is a surprisingly good layout IMHO - granted the front is over powering (I did tweek the front to be slightly weaker).
It would have been nice if you did say "why" it is bad. Anyway, this is about desk, not 5.1 set up.
I think its a case of what someone could justify to themselves as a reasonably cost.
Everyone on here spends more than the norm on some particular item, and can justify it in some way.
You are aware that there are several Jerker models, all with different specifications? Some Jerkers do have 'small' surfaces, but others have quite large ones.
The thing with Jerkers is that the parts and accessories are all completely interchangeable.
Yes.
The Jerker i own is a 'workstation' version, designed so that loads of extra storage, such as fixed sheves, movable shelves, paper holders, ect; can be added to it.
Its also possible to buy Jerkers that are 'desks', which are longer in length by about 50% than the workstation version.
