Not necessarily, it depends how basic their system is. I literally got a refund for something yesterday, and they didn't use my card. This was at a high street store though, not a little mobile sort of setup like you'd see at a PC fair.

Correct me if I'm wrong Spie (if you're looking in) but I can't remember OCUK ever doing the fairs.
I know Pete Radford talked about it but it never came off.
There again I have a bad memory.
