Ive lost a pin the sort that goes into the back of the hard drive so you can select master or slave. Where could i get one of these from?

it's called a 'jumper'. just pop down to your local pc store and ask nicely. they'll probably have a load of them.

best bet is going to any comp store and asking nicely, if they try to charge just laugh.
