Hello Everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you about an issue I've been experiencing with my computer lately. Suddenly, it has significantly slowed down, and despite my best efforts, I have been unable to find a solution. I have searched everywhere and even scanned my system for viruses or malware, but nothing was detected. Unfortunately, my computer's performance has become extremely sluggish, making it impossible to play games.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance or advice you can provide in resolving this matter. I have tried various troubleshooting methods, but none have yielded positive results so far. If there are any additional steps I can take or if you have any recommendations, please let me know. I rely on my computer for both work and leisure, and this issue is significantly hindering my productivity and enjoyment.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards,

Suddenly? You mean literally overnight?

Did anything change with your PC recently?

Unfortunately, my computer's performance has become extremely sluggish, making it impossible to play games.

Can you describe this in more detail? E.g. is it taking a long time to load the games? Do the games run very badly? If they run badly, in what way specifically (low fps? jerkiness?)

I have tried various troubleshooting methods, but none have yielded positive results so far.

Can you list the steps you have taken already?

Some simple things to try:

- If you run task manager (CTRL + ALT + DEL), is anything using your CPU or graphics card? How much memory is currently in-use?
- If you run something like hwinfo or hwmonitor, what are your CPU, motherboard and GPU temps? Have you checked the fans are still working?

Yes, just happened randomly. It was working one day and next day when I was trying to play Counter Strike with my friends, it took ages to load up the map and FPS where down to 30-50 where usually they were sitting around 300+.

Not specifically, apart from the NVIDIA and Windows update nothing severe.

As mentioned above low fps are one of the problems. When using google chrome and scrolling through YouTube, when loading videos it takes about 5-10 seconds when usually it was around within couple miliseconds to load up the website.
Loading anything on the computer feels off to slow comparing to what it was previously.

Computer scanned with Malwarebytes, ADwcleaner, Windows firewall, HD tune ( currently scanning to see if there might be any issues with discs). Anything that could have cause problems got removed but computer still operates very slow.

At the moment with everything switched off, there is only System using CPU and graphic card. CPU at 8% of usage and graphic card at 5% of usage.
- If you run something like hwinfo or hwmonitor, what are your CPU, motherboard and GPU temps? Have you checked the fans are still working?
CPU- 29 degrees Motherboard 24 degrees GPU 28 degrees

Here's a video showcasing the problem (recorded 10 minutes ago)

That looks very wrong. Almost as if it isn't using the GPU at all, but the IGP (if you have one).

What should the fps be, with your system?

Not specifically, apart from the NVIDIA and Windows update nothing severe.

I'd consider uninstalling the nvidia driver and re-installing, preferably with an older version.

Have you looked in the event viewer, for any hardware or software errors?

I don't gave IGP in my configuration.

Usually FPS were around 300+, lowest point was around 250 fps.

How to you access event viewer?

We're looking for things at the time when you're running a game, that might explain why the performance of your CPU or GPU is crippled.

6 losses of power in 7 days: what happened to cause these? Were they external to your PC (i.e. power cuts), or?

What is the disk error?

Woah, that's a lot of power errors! None of these were a power cut?

If that's true, I'd run chkdsk on your boot drive, as it could suggest your Windows install has problems.

Is harddisk 3 an external drive? I'm not worried about this, because it is so infrequent.

What are the full system specs?

It’s looking as if the root cause has corrupted the OS. Do you have a system backup?

Ok, so we have some hot running kit and the problem starts with this heat wave.

You could take the side off the case and see if this makes a difference. Point a desk fan at the motherboard if possible.
