Computers making random noises.

Quite a weird problem i think. Randomly when i am using my pc i get noises in the background. Normally the noise sounds like a creaking door, but just i had a horse neighing. :p I didn't have any music playing, and the only webpage i was on, was here.

Any ideas of what it could be? :)

I have MSN running, but i have disabled all sounds on that.

Perhaps once an hour. Not that often, i'm just curious as to what it could be. It's been happening for a few weeks now, but today was the first time i heard the horse neighing.
 
I used to get a similar thing but it was a pig squeeling - used to startle the bejeezuz out of me.

Turned out to be Kaspersky's warning sound when it found a nasty - maybe its changed to a horse neighing now perhaps?
 
Worth checking all those things, but most likely it's radio. The PC speakers are really just an amp and wires. Quite capable of picking up some radio stations.
