Hi there

Well as per every year since Caseking took over OcUK I went to Taiwan to celebrate my birthday and though unlike last year there was no trip to Thailand afterwards, simply due to us all being so busy, once again Computex was superb. For me its all about meeting my business partners, work colleagues and of course personal friends I have made. Nothing shows more respect than turning up in person on the other side of the world to have party time and drinks with those you have done business with. :)

It was also the coolest I've ever witnessed Taipei, think this is my 7th trip now and upon arriving it was a chilly 22c which did eventually build to 35c as the week went on.

Though there was nothing major this Computex with the main highlights being gaming chairs, e-sports, RGB and of course Intel's new processor announcements.

However Overclockers UK, Caseking and Noblechairs were there in force. We also had our own booth and was the only booth with beer on tap, German beer might I add so our booth was of course the most popular considering we also had 40 noblechairs on display, so somewhere you could chill and drink beer away from the madness and experience the comfort of our superb chairs.

Also OcUK, Caseking had the most presence with our products being on display at various other booths such as Super Flower, Asus, Gigabyte, TeamGroup and Galaxy (KFA2).

This is something Caseking group specialises in, bringing Asian products to Europe, proof from our portfolio of product within our webshop.

Anyway now time for some fun and pictures of product, girls, myself, 8 pack and other random stuff:

Then I went straight from the club, to the apartment, grabbed my case, back in the taxi and onto the plane, to be presented with a rather nice drinks menu. :D

Though I did not drink much, I simply lay down, had the lovely air hostess tuck me in and I slept more or less the entire journey. :D

As always a great computex.

Those who love show girls, G.Skill always do it in style so here are some videos, they always go crazy to have the most girls and also of multiple nationalities. :)

Enjoy! :)

In case no one spots it, the 8 Pack memory module, an entire range of Ryzen and new Intel Platform memory is incoming exclusively to OcUK and Caseking group, developed by myself and 8 Pack. :)

Got decent aesthetics as well; is there any chance of a spec and price preview post computex (or timeframe for info/pricing)?

Won't be cheap as the primary use is our own Infin8 and 8 Pack systems, plus all modules use ONLY Samsung B die, which is one of the best.
Our first kit is 3200MHz C14-14-14 and tested in 15 Ryzen mainboards without issue, works fine in Z170/270 also.

Aesthetics are decent because I did the design for TeamGroup 18 months ago, actually it was over 2 years ago. ;)

Hi there

First 8 Pack memory SKU is online:

Team Group Dark Pro "8 Pack Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C14 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Grey @ £188.99 inc VAT https://www.overclockers.co.uk/detail/index/sArticle/68110

3200MHz RAM Speed, CAS 14-14-14-31 Timings, 1.20-1.40v VDIMM, Lifetime Warranty with OcUK.

A cooperation between TeamGroup, Gibbo, 8 Pack, Caseking and Overclockers UK brings you this very aesthetically pleasing design with great thermals. But more importantly the IC is Samsung B die and has being qualified and tested thoroughly on the latest Intel Kabylake platforms (Z170/270) and AMD Ryzen mainboards.

With a very aggressive low latency of CAS 14-14-14-31 out the box this kit not only offers tight timings but high frequency as well with 3200MHz. Tested reliably in over 15 AMD Ryzen mainboards with both 350 and 370 chipset at advertised speeds.

Also compatible with the latest Intel Z270 and upcoming chipsets, this 8 Pack edition memory offers great compatibility and incredible levels of performance.

This is the first of many more 8 Pack memory products to come, this kit also offers fantastic overclocking ability where over 4000MHz is achievable on some Intel setups and upto 3600MHz on Ryzen setups with slacker memory timings.

If your looking for cheap, you won't find it with 8 Pack branding, these memory kits are built with one objective, all out performance and compatibility with the widest selection of mainboards. As such we specify only Samsung B die for our own 8 Pack modules which adds considerable cost, but on the flip side the results is improved performance (tighter timings) and huge OC ability, in our testing we hit 3600MHz on Ryzen mainboards and over 4000MHz on Intel mainboards with these kits. On new Kabylake-X platform expect this kit to yield as high as 4500MHz plus.

This is just the start, we hope by the end of the month to have kits approaching 5000MHz under the 8 Pack branding. :D

Excusing the ignorance in advance; with the quad channel version of the Team Group Dark Pro will they be compatible with skt 2011 or are they exclusively 1151/x299?

New kits will be backwards compatible, but they won't run at the advertised speeds. New intel platform has vastly superior IC. So Kabylake X dual can hit 5000MHz and 4600Mhz is 24/7 stable and quite easy to hit. New quad platform does 4000MHz with ease and tops around 4133MHz. These speeds can only be attained on the new platforms, using these kits on older platforms you won't get the speeds and we shall clearly market them for new platform only.

So you can use in older platform, but won't hit the speeds.

Any chance of these making an appearance as an option on the 8 Pack OC Ryzen Bundles? :o

Yes this memory is designed as its primary purpose is for our own bundles and systems shall all move to this memory and other 8 Pack memory brands. It allows us to control the IC to maintain higher quality and of course they look awesome. :)

A little bit of wee just came out.

If only Vega would make an appearance... or i might have to go down the 1080ti route.

Our plan is this memory with any Ryzen, 3200MHz tight timings, or slack the timings and run at 3600MHz, but we only achieved this with CH6 and Taichi.

Then we shall offer new Intel offerings Dual with 4600MHz and Quad with 4000/4133. :)

Again all memory will be 8 Pack with Samsung B die.

Also some might be happy to know G.Skill shall make a return with their Trident Z Black/White and Trident Z RGB at OcUK soon. Also new GeIL X EVO RGB shall be in stock next week along with some basic Ryzen SKU.

Teamgroups new RGB now available, arriving in a few days! :)

bout time you got g-skill in ..saves me ordering from the eu and having to work out that funny money stuff

We shall only be doing Trident Z (Black/White) and Trident Z RGB, as they are quite unique and are also Samsung B die. The regular stuff we won't be doing, likewise for other colour combinations on Trident Z though they are now pretty pointless with RGB being available and RGB only adds roughly £10-£20 to a kit.

So here is a preview of the 8 Pack Xtreem memory series we shall launch for X299 Intel launch, with frequencies as high as potentially 5000MHz.

Good to hear Gibbo. Any idea on when these will be coming in? Looking at putting a spec together with either the 8Pack Teamgroup stuff or Trident Z.

Cheers!

Trident Z maybe end of next week, first 8 Pack (3200MHz) also next week, 8 pack Xtreem end of month or July.

That is Samsung B die for you, for the money this RAM is incredible. The 8 Pack memory range will be far bigger by end of the month and really will be the go too solution for both Ryzen and Z270/X299 builds. :)

Video of the latest Teamgroup stuff which is all coming to OcUK! The Xtreem (8 Pack) this month, the RGB Rainbow is in stock now and the RGB lightning will be soon along with their SSD also which uses a good heatsink to make sure the performance level is maintained and does not drop off.
