I like Noctua a lot, their products have always been excellent and their support is up there with the very best.

But they are facing a lot more competition now than they have for years.

That’s a LOT of money for an unattractive air cooler IMO (in terms of the aesthetics, the new fans aren’t particularly good looking either).
I bought a Thermalright phantom spirit ARGB for £29 last year which gives similar performance to a Noctua and easier on the eye and I've purchased the AF III 360 ARGB for £77 earlier this year for the new build i'm planning. With options like these on the market its hard to see who these noctua coolers are aimed at.
 
Noctua do have some pretty sweet customer support, with free mounting kits given out in the past for existing coolers. The quality of everything is just awesome too.
Sometimes a bit too rich for my blood, but when I buy a Noctua product, I never regret it.

Last thing I bought from them was the nh-l9a though. Which is a lot more reasonable on the wallet... :D
It's the enthusiast market. There will always be a customer for them.

The gamers nexus video on the noctua cooler was interesting, I recall people were complaining about the IHS on the am5 cpus and why was it so thick, well...seems its structural, the thickness helps keep it more rigid, whereas the Intel cpus are flexing a hell of a lot when heatsinks are cranked down onto the ihs, coupled with the pressure of the socket clamps.

It will be interesting to see if Intel has bothered to address this with the 1800 series socket.

Possibly, though it would probably necessitate a thicker IHS like amd has. On one other video on GN they had new motherboards for that socket but intel had made the manufacturers cover the socket up, so presumably something is different about it.
