Nah you get used to it pretty quick, hard going for about 2 weeks, then you seem to adjust from what i remember going back a year. 10k is my ave distance per day now, 15k once in a while and can finish but takes some mighty effort for me to do last 2k, think i go out the traps too hard with that one tbh.

i mean surely if you just want it to get fit and lose some weight that would do the job wouldn't it?
