Hi all.

I wonder if anyone can post their experiences of when sending back their 360 to M$ of what condition it was in and if they commented on it, or if they refused to repair it / charged you for delivery etc.

thanks!

whatever, are you 3 affiliated with the company Microsoft or something? why else would you take offence to something like that? lol

haha no
what do you mean what condition?
missing warranty seal? seems hit and miss mostly hit though that they will fix it even if its missing

i opened it up to try and fix the 3RLOD I got the other day. Failed and before I have another go at it, I was thinking about sending it back.

I've broken the warranty seal, but it sees from xbox-scene forums that everyone reckons they dont touch opened consoles with a bargepole?! :| i'm sure i've read here and other places that ppl have had success with them though hence the post.

Cosmetic things such as scratches etc shouldn't cause a problem, but if you've have removed the warrenty seal and have been messing around on the inside of the 360 it is more then likely they will refuse to repair it for free and will charge you something like £70.

Although there have been some cases where people have sent off their modded 360's and still got it repaired without them saying anything.

Dont worry about it, somethings up if "M$" offends you.

My bro sent his first back with no faceplate and was pretty scratched on the one side, they didnt say anything and it was sent back fixed with a brand new faceplate on it! Which was quite nice of them.

Dont worry about it m8 it's just that some here cannot remove their tongues from inside the back of bill gates trousers.

Yet the moment someone bad mouths sony everyone is up in arms...

Anyway, you opened it up, you voided the warranty. Why you didn't send it off in the first place is beyond me. Unless you had no warranty anyway. In which case they will charge you for repair.

It's pot luck as to whether they will repair it with a broken seal, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Probably depends on the individual worker that gets your console.

You should have used a hairdryer to remove the seal anyway ;)

As said in your other thread mate, mine had been taken apart, the dvd drive had been super glued to fix it. So my warranty sticker was in fact removed completely. When it had the RROD I sent it back no problems and it came back fixed.
