ah ok i see where your coming from, i will go for the on with sli support because i may buy 2 8800's if not im getting 1 now and 1 in the future.
If going down that route, you will DEFINITELY need a beefier PSU like the Enermax Galaxy 1000W :)

The Asus P5N32 WON'T work with Intel C2D chips!

EDIT: Though the P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe does :) See here

The older SLi boards for intel were very poor overclockers though with relatively slow I/O performance (USB, HDs etc.)

Ok i think this will be my last question (seriously this time ;) )

I have found a asus p5n32 sli deluxe mobo and e6600 for a combined price of £300.

What do you think?

that mobo is crap if you want some decent overclocks mate.

if you're keen on a 6600 and want absolute performance stick with a 975x board or even the nvidia 680i.

Perfect advice. :) From those 2 options:

The 975 boards are the most stable & reliable boards with the fewest issues as they've been around a while now.

The 680i boards are around the same performance per clock, normally overclock further, have immature bios's & some issues at the moment, but allow SLI.

why not the highly regarded and well reviewed gigabyte DS3, they overclock well, are a fair wack cheaper than most high-end boards, see thats the thing with intel, bloody expensive boards

yeah ive decided to go with the evga 680i and now just deciding about cpu!

LOL just get the E6600 and since ** getting the Ninja Cooler (i think) u will get over 3ghz easy which will beat fx62 and core2duo x6800

Bah, i wasted £50 on an 805 then  I got this board FREE about 4 months ago, i couldn't see that it supported C2D, so i stuck an 805 in it just to play about with clocking...

/me goes off to check his bank ballance and to see if anyone wants an 805....
