Connect 3D X1900XT, Advice

Just got my X1900 XT, Checked in CCC and its reading Memory speed as 594 Mhz. I thought the card was supposed to be 1450Mhz. Is the card gimped? Or am I reading it wrong? (3D Mark 06 was 3900 @ 1280 x 1024 with everything maxed which seems ok .... but Im a bit worried about the memory clock)

Any help appreciated.

I think it clocks up in a game doesnt it ? I know my nvidia does

yeh im sure it does has 2d and other modes as wel dont it

look agian at the CCC it says requested and current VPU clocks

the requested is the 3d clock and the current is the 2d clock

thats why the requested one moves as you OC but your 2d clocks stay the same

Which cpu have you got in your system..Your 3dmark 06 score is looking very low for the xt1900xt.....

yes it would seem that the OP score is low but maybe he has a single core

my system does better than fx-57 which shouldnt be right

Dual core isnt almost doubling your score ... thats for sure ... can you tell me your settings when you test ... i.e AA, AF etc.

i will bet the x1900 is ok its you cpu that is causing the problem

oc my cpu by only 5% give about 500 points

run the bench again with your card setting at default the same with 06

we need common ground to check the scores against

No it isnt but a fx57 with sli card gets 4k-5k my system gets 7.3k

I have an FX-55 lying around, but cant be bothered buggering with the CPU Fan. (Little Drunk you see). Friend just told me that 4K is about right for a 3500. SO I guess I am OK.

3500 XP, and games seem to play fine so I guess I was griping about nothing. Far Cry is definitely faster than my 7800 GTX 512 MB. I will put the FX-55 in tomorrow but I think I will have to order a 4xxx XP x2 tomorrow
