Nope, didnt go for the official cable.

Have heard reports of people saying that the official cable gives better results. But wasnt sure if this was correct or not, so thought Id give it a try myself.

Is there much of a difference, out of interest?

I can't say from my own experience, but from people on here, it does sound like spending the extra couple of quid will give you the best results for the cable.

Yeah, I keep hearing the offical VGA connection is the best.

For the record, I have been using that cable with a Philips 20" wide and a Dell 07, and they look wonderful, especially since the last dash update that fixed the washed out look of colours.

Ive been checking up on these cables a lot recently cos i want to connect a 360 to my 2407, and heard that a lot of the unofficial ones cause flicker on some monitors, and the official doesn't.

But that could 1. Be a load of old tosh, or 2. Apply to only certain 3rd party jobbies!

Tell us how you got on with it please... also what cable you did go for in the end?

mad catz here, horrible horrible cable :( really bad ghosting. example:

"mad catz VGA cable is crappy"

if you made a copy of the above text, pasted it directly ontop of the original text and then shifted the copy across to the right about 4-5mm so it looked like the original text had a lot of shadow, that's the equivelant to the ghosting of the cable

go with the microsoft one, one of my friends has it on the same monitor i have (sammy 913N/920N) and i havn't seen any of ghosting yet

Hi I bought this cable the other day and I simply can't get any sound coming out from the speakers? Am I doing something wrong in the fact that I am putting the red and white leads into the jack converter and then putting it into the Line In on my soundcard? Then have my speakers using the line out? I am using a Sound blaster live 5.1 and nothing seems to be working? Help appreciated thanks :)
