Is it possible?
I want to connect my newly built PC (Windows 7) through my notebook (Vista) which is running on a wireless network. This is only temporarily as a wall that is preventing me using an Ethernet cable will be knocked down in a few weeks.

How do I connect PC through notebook and to the internet? I have an ethernet cable which I believe will work in connecting the pc to notebook.

Thanks '-'

Also random question. I have just build pc and wondering whats the best way to leave off? shutdown then turn off switch on the power supply? or other?

That's the most cost-efficient method as the PSU won't be drawing any power at all. If it's only going to be off for a few hours at a time, I'd just shutdown and not bother with fumbling for the switch at the back.

LOL mines quite easy to get it. ok, I think I might do that then. not bad for Pc is it?? it'll still keep date and time going right?

I'd just pick up a cheap USB wirless adapter they can be had for a fiver if you shop around and it will be much less hastle.

For sharing internet:

Network and Sharing Center
Click on "Change adaptor settings" on the left hand tab
Right click on your wireless adaptor and select "properties"
click the "sharing" tab at the top of the pop up
Check "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection"

Then just connect your PC to the laptop using an ethernet cable.

For turning off the PC, just do Start>Shut down, there's no real point in turning it off at the PSU.
