Nice to know she was signed to Sony BMG, by Simon Cowell.

and Has a 7 figure sum record deal, at the age of 6.

Britains got Money Making.

Not entirely sure, Read it in paper yesterday at work.

all i know its Sony BMG, and its 7 figure.

good luck to her i had tears coming down my face watching her sing (although she does look like my daughter and i live far away from her as my x is awkward i do het to see her tho when my x is in a good mood)

Simon probably made a good move there. The investment of a 7 figure on her might give him 10 folds back. Hence why his fortune got doubled in just a year. Good judgement by Simon and of course, well done connie. Confident little young girl with great voice.

Its just like charlotte church.

It's not really. Charlotte Church had a voice that a lot of people wanted to listen to, and was comparable to much older singers. I've just listened to her on youtube, and she is good for her age but I don't see that people would buy more than a single or one album of hers, as it's just a novelty. The song was way too high for her though, so perhaps I'd be more impressed by something in her range.

There's something seriously unsettling about prostituting your own children like that.

She only got that far because of her age. It was a gimmick. I can't exactly imagine her selling a platinum selling album anytime soon. She's talented for her age, sure but still needs a hell of a lot work. I seriously doubt she even knew what she was singing about. Commodifying a small child in any sense is just wrong. If her parents are sensible, they'll take the money and allow her to grow up normally.

I have to say, it was completely the wrong song for her to sing. No one, and absolutely no one has the voice of Eva Cassidy, and its the kind of song that needs a fully developed voice to be able to fill the range. It's a shame, as all I did was cringe at that, instead of enjoying a fairly talented young person.

And Amanda Holden cries at everything.

This is BS, her father was on GMTV today and he said he knew nothing about a deal.

Which is the way it should be, at least until she grows up. She's had her moment of fame and if anything, it's set her on the right path. She'll be a huge talent one day.
