And yes it is crap tele.

If idiots didn't watch all the crap on the tele box, maybe more imaginative programmes and less reality crap would be made and then maybe I could sit down and watch some decent stuff more than 1 night a ******* week.

There's something seriously unsettling about prostituting your own children like that.

She only got that far because of her age. It was a gimmick. I can't exactly imagine her selling a platinum selling album anytime soon. She's talented for her age, sure but still needs a hell of a lot work. I seriously doubt she even knew what she was singing about. Commodifying a small child in any sense is just wrong. If her parents are sensible, they'll take the money and allow her to grow up normally.

Well said. Just another money making machine for people like Cowell and respective companies. And we who watch are unwittingingly funding their pockets. So by all means lets all continue to watch and laugh and cry while the jackals like Cowell think best how to exploit our emotional reaction for the maximum financial gain they can possibly squeeze out of the little girl.

I'm curious as to why you're still here, and why you've posted in the other thread about Britain's Got Talent a few times too.

For someone who hates it, you seem to spend your time following threads about it and continue to talk about it.

I don't know what you want from us. We all know you don't like it, but you keep coming back and making it known to us. Go read a book or something. :)

Not true. ITV is pretty awful but I think the Beeb still cuts it. I find most satellite channels to be rather bland tbh but that's a personal point of view.
 
We refused to have Sky on the grounds that we didn't want to pay for several hundred channels of re-runs so its no better than Council TV. (We do however have freeview)

Anyway....yes she's very cute, yes she can sing one song but I'm not convinced she'll be a star. She might be confident but so are a lot of 6 year olds. She just didn't do it for me, I thought all the other acts (apart from the small annoying kid who insists on singing out of tune to musical songs) were better.

Thank jeebus somebody else thinks the same as me. I can't bleeding stand Eva Cassidy's trainwrecks. It's as if she tried too hard to make those covers her own, and ended up with something different just for the sake of it. Her cover of "Imagine" is even worse.

I hated Judy Garland's voice but at least the arrangement doesn't make me toe-end the radio like Cassidy's does..

True. This is why I don't mind paying my TV License.

Stuff like Challenge TV can die in the face along with ITV.
