Hi all,

I've attempted to set up my new computer today and seems to have hit a wall.

Basic spec is
to my knowledge, however when I turn it the LED casing lights up, the fan turns on...then everything turn off...about 3 seconds later it starts up again...Fans are on, hard drive buzzing away, the lot.

No beeps, no monitor activity.

Any ideas?

g skill ram, u dont say what model ect, cant rember if it nr or hz, but one of these wont run right or not @ all with the gigabyte, plenty about it in the m/b section.

I think it was only the HZ that was guaranteed to work with Gigabyte motherboards, the lower kits in the range had problems although some might be able to be fixed with a bios flash. As said if you take a look in the Motherboards forum, particularly at this sticky that might shed some light on it, sorry about the bad news :)

Oh.********.

Is this a certainty to why its not booting up to the BIOS.
Thing is, all the fans start up ok, an LED on the graphics card lights up (using PCI-E 6pin) however there is no output onto the monitor.

I have a two DVI adapters for my monitor cable, currently running the Analogue port on the back of the monitor and then fitting the adapter to DVI on the graphics card. Could this be stopping it?

Tried that, no luck. Also tried out a friends graphics card and didnt work either, so thats ruled out faulty GPU.

What are my chances of getting my RAM replaced for a compatible version?

(Many thanks for your replies!)

I'd just phone up whoever it was(or if OcUK maybe send a webnote) and ask if they can replace it, I think most of the time a company will try to accomodate you especially as it is a noted incompatability.
