Just looked on that popular auction site and saw a e6600 for £275 :) and he said it will clock to 3.6 on air  not to sure about that.

Ive been waiting on a response from him whether they are in stock now.

Not a bad price ;)

That one at auction will be an ES. I happen to have dealt with the seller on XS; very reliable too if you just can't wait for Conroe. ;)

Im seriously thinking of getting one, im just waiting on a response from him whether he will ship as gift etc. Im also looking at what ram I need. Do I need the PC8000 DDR2 or is the 6400 stuff good enough?

Thanks .. very helpful. Seems if I want to clock over 3.6Ghz Ill need the PC8000 stuff . Cant believe how much that costs though  For some reason ive been thinking DDR2 was cheaper. I guess you can run the 6400 on a divider though?

Yea, I suppose you can. I've just gone for the 5300, everything else costs quite a lot for my budget. :p Not too bothered about overclocking yet.

Hi there

From speaking with ATI as they have a new board they also seem confident that Conroe which launch on the 23rd of July. :)

Excellent :) (in a monty burns voice)

Using that table, it shows that if you want to get 3.6Ghz on air with 1:1 with ram, the PC6400 ram will be perfect :) You don't need PC8000 mate, thats for 4.5Ghz which I doubt is achievable on air.

Is it a good clocker?

Its what everyone has been using over on the XS forums for the last month. Im sure thewre will be better boards along though.

I dont think it supports sli if you wanted that.

If i'm not wanting to overclock at all and run everything at stock, will i be fine just buying pc5300? Will i see any difference with everything at stock between pc5300 & pc6400? Memory isn't my strong point i'm afraid

Ah right, sorry about that. Then looks like you'll have to get PC8000 or run PC6400 on a divider. The PC8000 is soooo expensive

Isnt it just .. my eyes popped out when i saw some of the ocz 2GB kits approaching 400 Notes.

Isnt bandwith a big thing on intel though compared to the A64's, I wouldnt want to cripple it with a divider.

Just got a reply from the seller, he say he will ship as per my instructions ;)

Now, should I take the plunge or wait 5 weeks lol
