I just re watched this film and i thought it was excellent.

Keanu Reeves in some places was quite bad, but in other he was superb.

Peter Stormare was good in his short lived part as the Devil.

Rachel Weisz was also good, though sometimes it felt like she was just thrown in there.

Anyone else opinions?

i think its an awesome film i can watch it over and over.Have you seen the bit at the end of the credits ???? plus passive by a perfect circle what a tune!

Agreed, it feels almost like a cult classic when I watch it even though it's mainstream, simply because it just seems to have fallen under the general radar. And in an extraordinary achievement, I actually see John Constantine when I watch it and not Keanu Reeves.

Easily one of my favourite films, I find it hard to believe how badly it was recieved initially.

definitely a good film, watched it a few times now very enjoyable in parts. Some bad casting on his sidekick though.

Is John Constantine meant to have the emotional range of a plank of wood though? I've not yet watched it but I can't imagine Keanu Reeves having the ability to convey anything other than a slightly gormless confusion.

I will try and watch it at some point and I do quite like a lot of films that Keanu Reeves has been in but that doesn't make the above any less true.

I agree he does have some, poor moments, but overall i think he's a good actor, he is like Marmite i guess.

On it's own I thought it was decent. But the character in the movie is absolutely nothing like the original Constantine character. Could have been much much better IMO.
