Content aware fill in Photoshop CS5

Its photoshop, it will never be as straight forward as a demo video makes out but it does look a hell of an improvement on the clone tool. Will have to see what other improvements there are before I can justify an upgrade.

Hoping to try this out at work but I am guessing it will be a lot more fiddly to work than what is shown in the video :(

This looks very good, I hate messing about with the healing brush/copy and paste trying to fill areas of images in. Gonna be a useful tool.

"Oh what's that?

We're getting new laptops and I don't know where the CS3 discs/license is?

Oh well.. suppose we may as well just buy the new version.."

Judging by the comments here Adobe are going to get a huge sale profit from us lot!

;)

I don't doubt the power of this new tool, many CS4 filters use GPU acceleration and the GPU is a very powerful piece of hardware for this kind of calculation and would be able to pull it off quite quickly and accurately as wel.

I'd imagine CS5 to integrate even deeper with GPU processing than CS4 does!l

Now that's what I'm really hoping for. The GPU still isn't used that much and I'm sure it can be further incorporated in more ways.

Another thing that would be rather nice is the ability to carry on actually using Photoshop whilst saving something!
