Continental Football **spoilers**

LOL at messi the guy cracks me up hes just next level stuff. I would say hes above ronaldo, his runs are just immense and it must scare the the crap out of defenders.

Eto 4 goals before HT is madness. 9 Games at home now and thats 46 goals :o

Another fantastic decision, this time in the Sevilla game.

Sevilla were awarded the softest penalty ever, defender goes to clear in only for the Sevilla player to stand in the way, luckily it was saved.

Most clear penalty you'll ever see denied to Recreativo, striker gets taken out by 2 players sliding in just after he'd taken his shot, surely a foul?

The refereeing is so bad I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

You see the way he booted the ball into the back of the net? May be i'm looking too much into this but may be he was getting some of his frustration out. I heard he missed a couple of easy chances during the game and it can't help your confidence when your team mate is banging them in left right and centre when you are struggling a little

Yeah thats what i mean, just didnt seem Happy that night, There seemed to be lack of confidence in his ability, body language wasnt all that great either.
He did miss 2 chances i saw that on a good day he would put away with ease.

Incredible Barca game, they were awesome. Messi and Eto'o are on a serious run of form. Barcelona surely have to be one of the favourites for the Champions League this season?!

Yeah I would say they are, well the only serious contenders in europe tbh

They are pretty decent at the back as well which is very surprising for a spanish team :P
Be interesting to see them against one of the english sides, that wont be until feb time now will it?

Barca are good to watch but I don't think they're all that tbh. I watch their games and the defending from their opponents is usually horrendous, they just seem to roll over and give up.

Put them up against a well organised Prem top 4 defence and then we'll see how good they are. Basel went to the camp nou recently and came away with a well deserved point, they are certainly not unbeatable.

I don't understand why they even considered getting rid of him. It can't have been down to his workrate and nature off the pitch could it? I always imagined that side of his game was spot on. The same cant be said for Ronaldinho (both on and off actually)

I'm not entirely sure but there was an incident where he refused to come as substitute at one point during last season and both Rikjaard and Ronaldinho both publically criticised him. Apparently Eto'o and Ronaldinho don't get on much, perhaps Barca were looking to offload both and bring in a replacement for Eto'o.. Adebayor perhaps, god knows why though.

I also heard that Eto'o and Messi don't get on either, although I'm not sure whether that's true.

Anyone watching the Valencia game at the moment?

It's just further proof that Spanish football lacks any credibility what so ever.

Valencia were 2-0 btw and it's now 2-2, thanks to some wonderful defending and refereeing.
