SantaPodshire : )
I'm on voda, and TBH I'm sick of their god awful customer service
I'm 99% going to give 3 a shot, the main reason for this is they actually have signal @ santapod, they also do a decent package for my two sons (that are on voda payg atm) and for me too - all you can eat mainly.

Anyway the main inquiry - what phone!!
I'm using a Galaxy Nexus, and tbh I'm happy with the phone, no massive need to upgrade but I probably will.
so
S4 or HTC one ?
pro's con's?
what else to consider ? I've never had an iphone, 3 are going the ip5 at the same cost as an s4. I'm no hater but I've never used one - maybe stuck in my android ways like all the instant of contacts etc with gmail - will ip5 do this?

Anything coming out pretty soon thats worth waiting for? I've a months notice anyway ??

input appreciated :)

(is 8ball pool on ip5? ;))

All I will say is, in my town centre, northampton, not exactly a little place, my 3 all you can eat data connection is absolute rubbish, its 3g speeds, my upload is twice as fast nearly, I cannot wait to leave 3, if you use a lot of data, I would not recommend 3.
I would also point out that my signal bar is full.

See it's a funny thing, I totally disagree with this.

I use a 3 myfi to connect to my phone, ipad, kindle and laptop at work and use it daily. The connection and download speed is awsome. Much better than any other provider I have used.

It really is dependant on where you live and how well you are connected to it.

The problem you have is you will have just as many saying it's great to as saying its crap. Who do you believe or go with????

I'd definitely try the HTC One and S4 before you buy one, they're going to be a bit different to your Galaxy Nexus even though they're both Android.

I've checked coverage on the main places I spend time and get mostly full inside signal my home is the only place it says outside, although I also get sod all signal with voda there too - so worse case no change.

I'll have a play with the phones, I'm also considering the note2
or mega

Or you could wait month or so and see what Note 3 has to offer

I find asking friends work mates etc is bests re signal strength on different networks

Well its obviously nothing to do with where I live etc or my upload wouldnt be blazing and my signal full bars. I suspect its more to do with the all you can eat data factor and either its overloaded or they dont actuall want anybody to use 'all they can eat'.

Cant wait to get back on the t mobile/ee network which I never had a problem with.

See there for views on HTC One and galaxy s4.

Tmobile EE are a great network. Their customer service is excellent and I've been given £10 goodwill gestures twice now for relatively minor inconveniences and haven't even asked for them. But ultimately I reward their good customer service by recommending people to their network. Best customer services, best signal, excellent speeds, among the cheapest for contracts and no charges for going over you data limit.

What's not to like?

3 is one of those networks that there is no point asking what its like

At my house i get 3mbps which is good actually, its better than the landline
but it does definitely get throttled at peak times, but again, it is the only 3g operator!

however in peterborough where i work i get a massive 12+megabits, amazing!

its a patchy network however due to very very little 2g coverage, so if you travel about you will inevitably find dead spots. I spend a lot of my time with 1 bar

However there is no other 3g coverage here, no cheaper all you can eat data for such a great price and 3 will be the best 4G operator, i think 4g will be no more expensive than 3g. If you are lucky you will get amazing speeds, if not you will get good speed. if you live rurally, you might get nothing!

Ill be sticking with them for some time.
