An obvious one but not been mentioned...my Panasonic (3-4 year old 4K lcd) for example has the ability to only activate the inputs which you use.
I have all inputs (including the inbuilt tuner etc) turned off except one HDMI, as a result the tv behaves as if it only has one input. You can’t change it unless you went into the sources menu and turned the others back on....when you turn the tv on it is always on HDMI1, and if you press the source button on the remote it only lists hdmi1.
