Controversial steroids thread...

Ok Edna, you need to calm down on the name calling here or you will be suspended from the forums.

#1 - I have never done steroids, nor is it ever likely that I will do steroids. I said that in my first post. I also said I had no problem with the idea of taking steroids.

#2 - I dont think I have ever in my life heard anyone say that steroids are completely good for you with no harmful side effects whatsoever. Certainly nobody has said that here, something you seem to have ignored in your myriad rants. I would suspect that everyone who gets to the point of trying steroids is well aware of the health risks but it is their choice whether to take them or not. People drink and smoke while aware of the risks.

#3 - Once again, from my original post. I do not support the use of steroids in competition. That means that the little boys cheating argument is rubbish. If I want to take chances with my body, for my own personal reasons then its my own choice and has absolutely nothing to do with you.

Are you standing up for using steroids? You talk like it really is a matter of choice. It is not.
Go ahead and ban me. I was banned the other day for calling spie a homophobe. Why I bothered to re-register is beyond me tbh....
Given that these forums are hugley popular, and the administration of them fails to delete posts that unquestionably do state that steroid use can be ok, don't you think that somebody with a bit more say so than 'forum admin' could be interested.
Delete this post and keep any more of this BS off these forums or I drop you guys in it.

I can't be more serious about the use of these substances as I've seen the results first hand, so please don't think I'm joking. If any of you are taking this stuff, go and get yourself checked out, by a doctor, do it voluntarily before you have to...

You can mail me to say this post has gone and you will not tolerate anymore talk of substance abuse being a matter of choice or 'ok' for casual use. Do that tommorow or I'll do my best to see these forums are removed from public viewing.

Well mail me directly if you're thinking of Cov - it's Psycho and myself that are head trainers there!! From your location, you may want to come to the first show we're putting on as a training school/promotion (Midlands Pro Wrestling) in south Wales January 4th.

Majik

you name the venue and Ill be there

sorry to thread jack guys

edna, consider yourself banned again. Ban is for life (unless reprieved) not just for the build up to christmas. ;)

Secondly, your threat is meaningless as no one has advised toward the use of illegal steroid usage which in your tirade against the use of steroids you seem to have missed. You seem to think everyone is saying they are ok, where as in fact no one has said this.

More ot the point, don't close this as it's a very interesting thread!! :)

Don't know the venue yet bud - it's being organised as a charity show as far as I know.

Bridgend I think - that far?

Consider this thread.......

Safe from closure atm :) I agree it is a good thread with a mix of views on a serious subject.

Personally I see no problem with an individual using steriods after talking their use through with a gp, for personal gains rather than competitive. As long as they know the risks they are free (as long as they are suitably aged) to make their own choices. (or I agree with Majik/Baldy to sum up)

Now be good while I go watch SG1 :D

also on the note that balddog mentions about roids not being used in competition...thats why in bodybuilding for example there are two different types of competition....Natural and and obviously un-natural events...

Natural is for the guy who have never juiced, and the other obviously for those who have taken roids

so the two dont have to compete against one another, because those who have juiced will obviously have a big advantage over those who havent!

hmmm i have often wondered about this, Steroids are supposedly able to allow you to train harder and faster and also recover a lot more quickly they are also able to promote rapid muscle growth under the right training conditions.

So why are they banned under all forms of competition and also why are they banned from both the UK Military (and Police etc) and also the US Military under the controlled substances act?

maybe just maybe it is because there is positive proof that Steroids do have side effects that no-one can guarantee wont occur in a person taking them, surely if that is the case then it just highlights how dangerous steroids can be.

Oh and i know at least 3 people who have had some form of scare with steroids and all were serious body builders on the circuits up in Cumbria, the fact that at the age of 27 one was having some strange heart murmurs and a pulse of 200 when having not even done any training for 2 days sort of said it all to me :D

And yes mood swings of a violent nature are one of the highest recorded instances in Steroid users quite simply because they are unable to control the rate at which testosterone is increased in theur system, and yes Steroids can be and are most definitely addcitive, maybe not in the purest sense but how often have you seen anyone take anything to help enhance themselves and get to a certain level and stop.

The answer is very rarely simply because most people are obsessed with looks, they go on the roids as you put them to get bigger, they soon realise that there are stilll bigger people so they use more to keep growing, dont say it doesnt happen because greed and vanity are a few of the Humans more apparent features ;)
