Hi

Just wondering if anyone has come across this issue before. On the back of my BT vision box there are left and right audio out sockets. What I am trying to find out is, is there something I can buy that will allow me to convert this to plug headphones into as my new lcd tv does not have a headphone jack :(

Can anyone help?

Phono to 3.5mm adapter cable, available anywhere - probably even the Purple Shirts!

(Assuming you mean 'normal' 3.5mm headphone jack, not 1/4" TRS connector jack.)

I have seen these but my headphones have the same connector on as the black one in the picture you posted. Reading on another forum, I could use a coupler or something to join the cables.

Thats what ive been looking for but cant seem to find anywhere that sells them. Looked at ****** and they only seem to do Phono to 3.5mm male cables which would then need a male/female convertor to allow me to plug my headphones in :(

What you need is a headphone amp, which range in the price from about £25 to hundreds of pounds. The other alternative is wireless headphones, as some of these work from line input and the headphones themselves provide battery operated amplifiers and volume controls.

Google "Headphone Amp"

Then plug your headphones in. It really is as simple as that.

You can buy that cable from ebay for the best price, otherwise just pop down to your local m*****s, if you are ok spending 3 times the real price. If however, it doesnt work or the volume is ridiculously low, then go ahead and buy a headphone amp. I'm 99% certain though, that you wont need a headphone amp.

Is the BT Vision box able to 'easily' adjust the levels on the line outputs, using the remote? If its a 'fixed level' line out it will be somewhere between 2v and 4v output, and could actually be 'too loud' if driving cheap headphones, or 'to quiet' driving bigger higher powered phones.

The RCA outputs are really designed to connect to a stereo amplifier, not for headphones.
