convince me not to buy an NV5

can i see how it looks please

Sure I will sort some out but it looks a bit crappy at the moment as the the Suprim X 5090 I have in it is so huge that the power connector wont allow me to put the panel on. I am currently waiting for a right angled one, or I may go strimmer v2. Either way it need to go vertically straight down. Long term plan is to rip it all out and put a nice back connect motherboard in there to make it look even more clean. Just waiting for a non white AMD version back connect which seem to be non existant

it dose look stunning.

thats a bit crap, no way to sort that out? only been on there a few months but i thought it was a safe place.
sorry, was busy yest...problem was me working abroad, so bought it all and it was shipped home...family put it all in the loft so didn't come out till i was back for a week during Easter. Yeah, original posting was' used for testing etc'...hmmm amount of dust stuck in the fan blades etc(no way..it had been used for some time imho)...the case was missing the swing door where you can hide cables and attach some ssd's behind the back , and also missing the built in gpu support...case should come with It had 4 reverse fans for bottom and side, but 3 normal split into duo in top and one at back..but he didn't add all the connectors for fans so had to buy another normal fans to be able to create the 3 for the roof. it was also missing some of the corner pieces so still have exposed screw holes missing
lastly i bought a 2tb crucial p3 with it which was missing also(not the greatest m.2 but good enough as a game store..wont be used that much so durability not that essential..used a sn850x as maid os drive etc(basically i game my son my b650e-e/7800x3d/2tb sn850x as main componenet and bought a 7800XT nitro from guy MM (which was brand new/unoppened so in brand new condition so MM not all bad...truth be told with all the missing stuff, would have been better just buying it new case and fans. thought I'd give MM a try...get something below list but also helps out someone switching gear...I don't mind used, just disagree when stuff is missing or being sold as almost brand new when clearly it wasn't...
sent the guy a message and got no reply and quick search see member has received a permanent ban, though I don't know what for.
reminds me have to leave you a rating(don't know if i did), as used the msi 850w psu I bought off you...need to get a aio in order to try out the vertical bracket Igot off you..originally put in as normal but then son came in and asked to have it vertical (he had to wait till i installed it before saying didn't he), so out it comes only to find the cooler interferes, so back it went as is
still lovely looking case though..one other thing to note is side and top fan mounts aren't removable..guess here where they saved some cost to build to below £100..rubber gromits are all good and located well though

be interested in how the thermals are when all enclosed..looked stunning at show but with pure chimney and 3 fans at bottom and just the exhaust, no way of making an internal positive pressure...from reviews I saw internals where a bit warmer than other cases..looks really tall though? how is it in reality? phanteks should make the internal wrap shrouds(where the fans go) removable so you can swap out and get different colours...make it more customisable and also bring in some more cash for company..they missing a revenue stream there

Yes you are correct I do not think the termals will be great but at the end of the day there are no front panel fans and no back panel fans either so that is to be expected. This case wasn't designed to be a max cooling case. You have the three fans at the bottom pulling air in and then three top fans and a rear fan sucking air out so very much a chimney effect. There was a review from somebody that said they swapped the back fan for a reverse so sucking air in and it actually decreased the temps a little so not sure which way I will go with the rear fan.

would guess depends on the size of your gpu, and how much air can get around it from beneath..having the rear top drawing air in will at least keep the cpu area cooler if the gpu blocks all the airflow, and the positive pressure may aid the 2 pulling air out top as well...,might be better with a 240 aio in top and the other fan pulling air without being hindered by a radiator...get a fan set that can be linked together you wount even notice as the rad is hidden anyway

if you could please, i dont really case how messy your system looks it just to see how the case looks with a build in it not under the youtube filter..
i have decided i 100% will be getting this case but I'm on the fence with black and black, or black and gold. the gold one would mean i have to switch GPU's but ive been thinking about grabbing an XT over my none XT for a bit if i'm honest

the problem with the nitro+ is it gun metal gray, so i would have loved the black and siler one the showcased at CEX but they binned it off for the black and block

@CraigN, that dose suck major ball's i feel bad for you no matter you income a deal is a deal and should have been as sold.
if you have any problems with the GPU mount and what not just hit me up buddy.

and yes your right if Phanteks sold an colour kit that would be amazing, black and dark gun metal would suit my current rig so well

Just how oftern do ppl change cases on a average, I'm once a year, the attic is full now lol
I only retired my Zalman Z3 Plus about 2 1/2 years ago due to rearranging the room and wanting a smaller footprint  Had that for years.

Since then I've bought 3, although I've gone open-air so not sure they count as cases ;)

Streacom BC1, then a Streacom DA6 XL, then a Streacom BC1-Mini for my ITX build. When the Nitro+ 9070XT arrived had to move my itx gaming rig into the DA6. The 330mm Nitro+ on the BC1-Mini was impractical and shifted the centre of mavity. 330mm card on a 190mm stand

Black rather than gun-metal would have been much better imo as well. Never really considered it when ordering, but the grey finish does catch the light when gaming in low light so doesn't disappear like my black 9700xt did sat under the tv.

im on my 2nd this year... but did hit a ITX speed bump(ordered 4(so i suppose 6 this is why the wife is going to kill me )) but the itx system was abended and im back to case 1 lol
