Cooking - Slow Cooker Curry

I only eat meat based animals that have been treat terribly before being murdered :D get in my pot you lovely tasting beasts , do you think that free range beasts look lovingly at the slaughterer whilst being killed for an end purpose , yes organic free range may taste slightly nicer but i think theres a lot of mind games going on here.

What a ridiculous post

Are you really saying it's ok to allow animals to live in terrible conditions, and a lot of the time, lots of pain, because eventually they will be slaughtered anyway?

If so, that's one of the saddest posts I've read in a long time :(

Actually dry and slow cooker are almost completely different ends of the scale

Most slow cooked food loses less liquid than normal cooking. They are practically sealed containers, the heat is gentle and long and progressive.

I love to make my chilli in a slow cooker, ideally cook it the day before you want it.

They turn cheap meat into delicious meat if cooked long enough
Boned chicken the chicken literally falls off the bones.
Try lamb shanks which tesco do as a value range in some stores, delicious

Most meat you want to brown before you cook if you like it to look browned, if your not fussed you dont need to.

No im not being troublesome its just that these chickens pigs cows are there for one reason to be eaten thats all. Apart from farmers getting a few more pennies and shops getting a lot more pennies i dont think the animals are so much happier do you before being destroyed for our meals ?

How can you possibly think they only exist to serve us? Did natural selection evolve them into perfect protein packs, just for us?

No, of course not. They have every right to have a decent quality of life. I'm no lentil munching hippie, I love meat, but I believe that animals deserve massive amounts of respect, especially when they will be making the ultimate sacrifice for our benefit.

Oh help me jesus , What countries do wild cows chickens pigs roam free while people just amble about looking at them whilst thinking i sure could nibble on some cress. Do you feel happier at eating a animal thats ran about in a field than another one thats just been sat there causing no bother to anyone in a shed , whats your views on the? ooh no i wont go there i will sit here post and chew on defenceless happy animals.

Meh (and ) at the food snobs in here. Nothing wrong with what danny_mac's used. It looks good, but I would spice it up a tad.

Cheap chicken in packs are usually bred entirely indoors, with no more room than an A4 sheet of paper each to move around in. Not that it matters, as they are pumped full of steroids to plump them up, their legs can barely support them, oh and most of them have burned legs anyway, as the sawdust they live in is rarely changed and soaked in urine.

Nice eh? :)

Doesn't bother me in the slightest, never has, never will.

I believe I may have just answered that. See above.

If life is that bad for the poor animals, we are doing the best thing for them by ending their suffering :D......and then cooking them up ! YUM !!
