he didn't go to the effort for us. Pictures are not tasty. The effort was for him and his family/friends.

It is nice for him to show off to us what he had, but me saying my mums xmas dinner is a million times better won't upset him. However it does seem to have upset you on his behalf. Do you read the daily mail?

He bothered to take pictures whilst cooking, and then did a write up.

Also, your mum's dinner is ****, and also you're a *******.

10 eggs
8 egg yolks

It''s sponge fingers if you have ever eaten them. It's the oddest batter ever, it looks like Hargen Daz ice cream semi melted. Don't think I have ever used so many eggs in my life almost 40 for the entire dinner

Looks good! How much did it all cost??

Including £50 of wine about £200ish
Venison £30
Steak fillet despite only getting 250g was £9
Cheese £18
3wine, dessert wine, port £50
General ingredients £90
and some more for bits and bobs that I missed and had to go pick up.

Friends brought lot's of the wine, including the good champaign.

That all looks absolutely amazing, Acid.

I made mince pies a couple of years ago, but used a recipe with lemon in the pastry itself. I'll try and dig it up, they were really tasty,
