Cooking with Burnsy - Duck with Mash, Cabbage and Port reduction

Whilst the duck is resting, might be as bold as to suggest throwing some cubed bacon into the frying pan until done then throwing the cabbage in there for a minute too?

Simplicity is key here, and the tree is to attract the birds ;)

Possibly, but I didn't want the bacon to be an overwhelming flavour :)
