As you can see, I'm not particularly adept at photography :p. Have to say, this was some mighty fine pulled pork.

From a friend who raises rare breed pigs, but your best bet is to try a farm shop, or search locally for a meat supplier.

I'm surprised you couldn't get a shoulder from your butcher though.

The meat had a massive slab on fat on top (first time buying pork shoulder boneless), which I chopped off for the most part, as it's going in a slow cooker rather than a oven.

All wrapped up in tin foil, in a plastic bag in a fridge.

(used paprika, cumin, chilli powder, caynne pepper brown sugar, salt etc etc)

10 hours on low tomorrow before I leave the house and hopefully there'll be smething tasty waiting for me when I get home. :D

looks very nice  the slower longer you do this better it will be

have to ask me dad to pop me some pork down when pigs are ready :D

Half a cup of tomato ketchup
A generous helping of Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
1/2 handful brown sugar
Mild chilli flakes

This is going in with it during the day. Hopefully enough to stop it drying out completely!

How much did the pork shoulder cost from the butchers? :)

Edit - Just phoned one

2.5KG Pork Shoulder

With bone - £12.25

Without bone - £16.25

Which is the best to go for?

Thanks
