Cooking with Raikiri; Rare Fillet Steak & Freshly Made Bread

Someone's annoyed about the much better photos and meal! :D

I lol, i am hungry :p

And i don't have a working oven (it is stuck on gas mark 1), so that rules out a LOT of recipe for me. I also don't have a microwave, nor a food processor...I bought Jamie olive's 30 min meal book and that is a waste lol, most of his meals need a food processor or oven!

So it means i can't cook the steak like the way here without an oven :(

That looks amazing, the salad looks really nice, simple and tasty as well.

No messing around, just good food right there. :)

Looks nice, steak needs some plastic cheese, ketchup and a bun though

Ketchup, on steak?

Have you ever tried M&S tomato ketchup? I beg of you to rescind that comment until you have. Absolutely delicious stuff. However, I approve of your steak, and chilli oil is utterly awesome stuff, especially on pizzas.

I had chips, battered sausage, onions rings and a pickled egg for dinner (and curry sauce), so you win TBH. :p

Just because I'm in a nit-picking mood, I'm going to point out that the picture of the finished meal is not in fact "steak & bread" as promised, but steak and salad.

/pedant.

Edit: Ah, ok spotted the bread now... You hid it. :p

I used the correct ratio of steak to bread, sue me :D

How much money minimum would you have to spend on equipment to take photos like that? (not including the steak)

I'm not posting in the photography section... i feel all these threads should go in there though or include stuff about Muslims and casual racism

I say, £300?

Any DSLR with a lens would do. Ultimately is know how to deal with light. Though the flash i used the other day is £300 on it's own.

Ridiculous T-bone for my dinner tonight, it's my birthday! I'm going to try putting it in the over after I've sealed it... something I've not tried before. Going to have sweet potato mash or wedges, red onion, wine and garlic mushrooms and some charred red pepper on the side. Also a 2005 Margaux. Mmmmmm!
