Cool Speedtest

Homecarp 8meg via tiscali.

Much worse than this in peak hours, can't wait to get away.

Either the distance between the server and the location in the WHOIS data, or it's an estimate based on ping times.
Sticking the two points (server and ISP location) into Google Earth gives distances that are near enough the same.

BT 8meg, although im ages away from the local exchange, and sat behind about 30m of cat5, usually get 500-600k a sec not too bad i guess :D

BT 8MG, but always sync connect at 5.5Mbps. I am about 2.5km from the exchange in a straight line, so not too bad... BUT the problem is at peak times when i get throttled to :

DOH!!!

This is one of my Clients broadband, he has been grumbling it seems slow so I ran the speedtest

BT Openworld 8MB

Option #2 - He seems to think he is playing £80.00/Month

What the heck is that? the connection is slow (although constant) and he seems to be paying an *impossible* amount of cash?
