Yes not only with speed but with high latency as well - 621 ms :eek:

Are you on a fixed line speed or Max ? (obviously something is seriously wrong with your connection)

Its a 1mb\256k up fixed line.

Unfortunately I havent been able to persuade the landlord that this ISP has problems and that a switch is in order...

I think I might be going mad but it appears the NTL 4mb lines switch back to their old 80kb speed now and again... well they do with this test.

VERY ODD. Speeds are TWICE as good when transferring from the new york server than the london server.

Even so, if I had signed up for a connection as slow as that then I would get my ISP to log a fault with BT and if they are not willing to do that then I would ask for my MAC code as that speed isn't acceptable on a 1 Mb connection.

I cant do that myself as I'm not the account holder and dont have the password. :rolleyes:
