CoolerMaster HAF932 Thread

Well, it came today and everything is pretty much dandy. Except the left side panel isnt sitting flush with the case. It seems to be bowing out slightly in the middle (at the top and bottom I can run my finger down the case and it'll hit the side panel) and the top right hand corner, where the left side panel connects to the case near the front (at the round connector) is pretty loose. When I poke there it makes a rattling noise unfortunately.

Did anyone else get this?

Might e-mail where I bought it from and see if I can get a replacement door as I really can't be bothered sending the whole thing back. If not i'll e-mail CM. I only hope it's the door, if its the case I'm SOL.

i'll try and get pics tomorrow if I can.

thinking of getting one of these.

do psu's miss the top fan if i decide to put it up there?

looks a bit tight to me.

you can't use the included 200mm fan at the top of the case is you put the psu at the top.

shame
my xfire cards look like they will be too close to the psu at the bottom.
can i put a smaller one up there instead?

also it looks possible to swap the rear fan for a smaller one.
i'm thinking of getting a H 50 and exhausting it there

so is it possible to swap the rear 140mm fan for a 120mm one?

thanks

Yes and i have a H50 in my HAF932.

Looking at the back of my 932 - Yes. It would appear to have mounting holes for 120mm fans

thats what i thought it looked like. thanks

do you have the original fan on it or have you swapped it?
everyone seems to think it's best to put another on there, or even 2 in push/pull config.

a lot of people seem to have changed it for fans ocuk don't stock.
anyone got a recommendation for changing the fan for one they do have?
i'm not too up on fans.
Will it plug into the cpu fan header?
do you have to get the correct speed of fan or is that down to noise preference?

lots of questions guys so thanks for any help

I run it with 2 Akasa Apache's as do a lot of people with a PWM splitter so they both run from the CPU fan header. Using PWM i can have both fans running at minimum RPM (500) when just browsing and what not.

do you mean these
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-056-AK&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=4

so i've ordered this cable too
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-031-AK&groupid=701&catid=48&subcat=

so i attach both fans into this and then straight into my cpu header on the mobo? the fans are 4 pin so won't i need a 4 pin to 2* 4 pin adapter for this too.

and this enables the fans to ramp up when the cpu is under load?

sorry for the noob questions.

also can i run these fans as a standard case fan, without them ramping up/down, straight off the psu.

yours in confusion:confused:

got my case today.

it's moohassive:eek:

also got a new corsair h50 to go with it along with a new psu. A Corsair HX 750.

gotta say the cooling is awsome.

i had temps of around 40 idle/67load which has now gone down to 34/50ish.

i put my psu up in the top area so had to remove the large fan. i had a spare 120mm kicking around so put that in it's place.
the fan wouldn't quite fit so i had to cut a little off the bottom so it's actually touching the back of the psu which won't be a problem.

i also removed the rear 140mm fan and installed the radiator in its place using a 120mm wmp ?? fan.

Gotta say as i was sorting the case out it had a real quality feel to it. well thought out too.
i like the backplate clips at the back, they work really well.
the 3.5 and 5.25 bay clips seem to be of equal quality too.

the only downside to it is my mobo is now upside down to how it was so my xfire bridge isn't long enough. weird i know.

so if anyone has one let me know

i took a few pics so if anyone's interested i'll post them up.

new here

Hi just thought id make myself known quickly, im Sam, joined earlier this evening, will try get some photos up at some point, possibly mid week. Owned this case for all of a week or so now and holy mother of God its good. wasnt sure about buying it as i only just bought the cosmos case a just before crimbo, but the HAF is a lot better :):p now to start saving for spec upgrades and possibly something nicer than a £4.88 ada mouse and keyboard

Love this case. Can't imagine upgrading it at all.

Question though, I have the wheels on mine and its on a wooden floor. There is a constant niggling vibration coming from it. Should I remove the wheels and put the padded 'feet' on it instead?

Just start build up new rig with this case – looks not so bad.
I would like to change out back 140mm case fan or 140mm fan with RED Led – what you would recommend ?
Some pictures – not finish build yet.
