CoolerMaster Stacker 830 V P180

Ok I just purchased the black p180 last night along with a hiper Type R 580W. I have read some reviews that say you need quite a long cable to reach the motherboard from the PSU. I am just crossing my fingers that the Type R will reach. It should arrive on Tuesday so I will try and post some pictures when it does.

Worst case scenario is that you then have to spend £5 on getting a cable extender. Not that bad really. :)

i got my p180 yesterday and i have to say i am very impressed with it so far, the build quality is excellent and its cooling capability seems to be very good, i got it alongside a scythe ninja and it has bought down my CPU full load temp down from mid 70s to low 50s and while not looking overt it certainly looks like it means business. overall very very happy

would the p180 be any good for watercooling

i dont think so its not the sort of case that i would want to modify and infact the layout would not lend itself to watercooling either, would be nice to hear some more opinions on this though from other people with this case

Well with luck i may be doing watercooling in this case if i buy it,will keep you updated. :D

I guess not but if the whole point of the modular design of the psu is to make everything look neat then one of these is going to spoil that a little bit.

I know I'm never going to see it but it's still a bit of a fag. :(

@Yabsley: Lets us know how it goes with that P180 chap. I have a HiperPwr 580watt non-modular but I'm guessing the cables are pretty much the same length as the type-r varieties.

Gone for the P180 now,was going to watercool my E6700,but changed my mind and gone for the X6800 instead :D

Thanks for the replys people.

I have posted some pics in another thread of the P180 with a Hiper Type R PSU in it. The power cables reach fine and from the looks of it would reach fine for any motherboard. Had to move the bottom middle fan though cause the cables were touching it and there wasn't really enough room down there.

Very happy with both the case and the psu and would recommend both of them. My pc is a lot quieter now and pretty much the only thing I can here is my graphics card. See this thread for more details: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=7493173#post7493173
