Looking for some decent cooling for the Ryzen 7 1700x (ROG STRIX B350F AM4 MOBO) but completely stumped on what to get. Options so far:

DARK ROCK PRO 3 CPU COOLER
NH-U14S
Corsair Hydro H60

My case is the Sharkoon BD28 https://www.sharkoon.com/product/1678/BD28#desc

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Don't bother with an AIO unless it is 240mm or bigger. You will be better suited with a good tower cooler.

Dark Rock Pro is a good choice but make sure it is the Pro as the standard version will only orient facing down towards the graphics card on Ryzen motherboards.

If you want a top notch air cooler but think Noctua look like baby sick then have a look at the Cryorig R1 Ultimate or R1 Universal. The Universal has a slimline front fan if you are worried about RAM clearance.

I have a Corsair H100i v2 cooling my R7 1700. I have it overclocked just a smidge under 4.0GHz and at times it can make a bit of a racket. I still like it but in hindsight I should probably have saved half of that money and bought a Dark Rock Pro as it just doesn't get that hot even with a good overclock.

Haha the Noctua does indeed look like baby sick, despite their good performance... I think you are right, they just dont get hot enough to warrant extremely good liquid cooling, will probs go for the dark rock pro!

This Alpenfohn is a nice cooler for the money. It also clears the Ram slots so you can use tall Ram.

The specs for your case list a max cpu cooler height of 179mm and the Alpenfohn is 165mm so it will easily fit.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £51.65 (includes shipping: £8.70)
Doesn't look too bad... Will have a think!

Don't forget the bracket isn't provided for AM4 on plenty of coolers :(.

"**For an AM4 bracket please go to the manufacturer support page and email them proof of purchase of the cooler and proof of purchase for the Ryzen CPU. We will try our best to get some brackets but you should contact the manufacturer first. **"

These are some that come with all that you need.

Odd, the red LED 212 isn't available any more, ah well.

The Alpenfohn Brocken 3 I listed comes with the AM4 mounting hardware.

depending if you can fit push pull fans then a 240 AIO at the front - I've got a cryorig A40 ultimate for my 1700 overclocked to 3.9. my system is fairly quite even when I video render. I don't use the stock fans though they are pretty good.

I've got the same board and cpu and I'm using a Dark Rock Pro 3. After initial high temps I've now changed my case (Phanteks Pro M) and idle temps (at 3.8MHz) are about 27C and highest temp so far has been 56C. It's pretty quiet as well and not all that bothered about how it looks compared to an AIO cooler.
