Hello, well recently on my OEM Machine (Advent Centurion CBE1401) the motherboard died, well atleast I assumed after getting several pointers and tips from posters on here (see here for my previous post http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18265620&page=1).
Anyhow, I swapped my motherboard over for a brand new one. It all booted up well thankfully, scared that it actually may of not been the motherboard. I went ahead and pulled my temperaures up with both AMD OverDrive & CoreTemp and I was shocked to see my CPU temperature significantly high .. I was sitting at 70c-80c idle! What I don't understand is that the radiator is spinning like it's ready to take off, seriously! Ive never heard it spun so hard. I went ahead and booted up this morning and it was just jumping up to 90c ... Considering I'd only just turned the machine on after a night of being turned off.
Also on my old motherboard the radiator was very silent & even with my CPU overclocked it barely breached 45-47c on full load & 28-30c idle. So of course something is not working correctly.
I'm 100% sure that the connections are in the right place, I have clarified with both my manual and the Coolit forums, unfortunately none have given me any advice.
I don't know if this is useful to helping me but when I first start up the machine during the post screen, the radiator is silent (just like it was on old board) & I actually hear the pump but as soon as it boots into windows it's asif it just dies and radiator is going crazy. I must admit if this was an air cooler it would be awesome.
How can I possible fix this?
Thank's in advance.
