COPA America 2011

I got £20 on Uruguay to win tournament returns £140....they were 12/1 at one point a few days before it.

Also did a treble tonight with Peru +0.5, Uruguay +1 and Chile -0.75 which only needs to happen now be odd if they do not beat Venezuela as i think they been probably the best side so far.

Another ineternational tournament gone in which Messi failed to score in open play.

He played well in parts, and the ball for the goal was a peach. I'd like to say he is man marked out of internationals a lot more than for Barca, which is partially true because at Barca if you triple man mark Messi, then Ineista, Xavi, Villa will all score a bucketfull of goals each and Argentina don't quite have that threat.

But he broke past so many players only for his final ball to not really be good enough most of the game, or his shots when he had the chance were pretty tame, one he got the ball around the edge of the box on lined up with the left side of goal, shoot into the corner, goal, but he shot directly at the keeper, again.

Was quite funny Tevez got booked for diving when Suarez spent 95% of the game falling over and screaming for free kicks, waving yellow cards at the smallest hint of a touch, or backing in for every single header.

Messi should just shoot more. Its like he runs past 3 players and feels compelled to play the cutest pass you've ever seen-perhaps for fear of being seen as greedy or a one man show i dont know. He shoould just do what c ronaldo does and hit it when he is on the edge of the box. let higain and tevrmez feed off scraps and keeper rebounds.

Brazil miss all 4 of their penalties, has any team ever done this?:p

That penalty spot was ridiculous yeah was surprised that some Paraguay penalties were taken good still but Brazil been poor anyway this tournament.

I do wonder, sure Paraguay scored some of their's but they were effected, I can't remember which penalty it was but it was a great shot, not just of the turf being kicked up but as one of the left footers plants his right foot, the penalty spot and the turf all kind of slid sideways, like the turf was a little loose over the undersoil, then some of them when the foot planted the turf did seem to move up slightly.

The Brazillians have a case to at the least make a complaint, the ref probably should have restarted it down the other end, considering the ref and the players and the goal keepers were looking at the spot and stamping on it after two penalties. But I'm not sure if they will grin and bare it, I'm 98% sure England, the fans, and the FA would be kicking up a storm if the penalty's went like that for us in some game. Hell we made a pretty big deal over Beckhams one penalty.

While retaking them now would be harsh on Para, its harsh for Brazil to go out based on a crap penalty spot, was it mostly lefties that scored for Paraguay, two of their three? You don't really want to act like little ****** though and complain, but neither would you want to lose that way.

Uruguay must be favourites now that Chile are out, although the way this tournament has gone it's still anybodies trophy.

Theres been no clear favorite. No one has really played well through out this tournament. Final is going to be a bit of a lack luster now to be honest. :(

Seen it was 1-1 in the last 10 mins. Stuck £2 on at 9/1 for Venezuela to win. Guess what 2 mins later they scored and hung on :D
