Isn't it ovious that...

My oldest sister and her husband think you know whats cool and what lame and think your cool enough to place all their trust on what you think is cool, is what their son will like...

and their one child looks up to you and thinks your a cool dude...

Yeah, i guess you're right.

I do need to grow up, that's my problem. I just heard what i needed to hear tbh. Thanks for your replies all.

(i am not been sarcastic if it looks like that, i am genuinely grateful for your feedback)

Could someone translate this post for me please?

I think it means the original poster should be pleased that the parents allow the child to do these things as they obviously think the original poster is cool, due to him doing these things also.

Your profile has you as being 22, so yes I'd say you were being childish. He is 13 and probably just looks up to his uncle. I'd be pleased if I was in your position, he obviously likes you a lot.
I agree with that....

Sounds like he is impressionable and looks upto you. Also sounds like you are incredibly jealous of a 13 year old which is well.... a bit pathetic really.
And that.

God, i just need to vent somewhere, this is getting REALLY annoying!

My nephew who's only 13 copies everything i do. It's really annoying. My oldest sister and her husband only have the one child, so he is spoilt rotten. Anything he want's he gets, but everything he want's is stuff he's seen me do or buy. Only if they buy something it HAS to be better than what i have. I could go on for ages and make a list of things, but these are the things just within the last couple of months -

I'm such a geek for doing it, but i collect action-figures. Collectable ones though, that cost £14/£15 each. I have been collecting for about 3 years now. But recently, they (sister and her husband, i'll call them Mr and Mrs X) have been buying loads of figures for him. I mentioned to Mr X, that a new series of these Dragon figures from McFarlane look kinda cool, i had no intention of buying them, i just mentioned it. Then what did they get my nephew for Christmas? Every single Dragon figure you can get, amongst other figures.

Last summer i bought an electric guitar, just a cheapish one, to see how it goes. My nephew, who had never even mentioned having a guitar before, decided he wanted one. So what did he get for his birthday? A £300 guitar, with an Marshall amp. He hasn't played the damn thing since!

Just after Christmas, i went and bought a X360 with a 26" Samsung HDTV. They came round, said how great it was (well apart from my nephew saying things like "the blood on GoW looks pretty rubbish" and "Ive seen much gorier games than this" (talking about Dead Rising). But him and Mr X are avid Playstation fanboys, always dissing the 360 since it's release, saying how the PS3 will be better etc. So guess what? Just had a message off the nephew now on MSN saying "Guess what? I've got a 360 aswel ;)"....along with a 32" HDTV it seems.

Should i say something? Or just leave it, because they will take offence and we won't see them for a few months (it's happened before with something else). Or am i just been childish?

Ahhh...i actually feel better i've said this now
You're 22 and you're worrying about this? Don't you have any real problems to worry about?

Hi Richie,

It's your nephew and i post on here now too. Mummy and daddy paid for a Super OCUK pass so i am a moderator now.

I'm gonna ban you

pwned

As long as he doesn't see you bonking yer bird, otherwise you never know what you might walk into, he could be there with her legs a kimbo going hell for leather. :D

Did he get Gears of War with his Xbox? If so spoil his fun by pointing out how violent and gory it is to your sister. If all goes well she'll be outraged and ban him from playing it.

Or you could spread it around his school that he likes boys.

Or you could just get over it.
