Cordless vacuum.. Vax blade pet 4...am I expecting too much?

We had a Dyson DC01 which lasted for years and was excellent, when it failed replaced with a new Dyson which was rubbish, then tried Gtech for a few years, but they quickly fell to bits.

We now have two VAX Blade pet 4 cordless and they seem to be very good, no problems with blocking or getting the dust out of the bin, do get some hair on the roller but just chop it off every so often.

We've just switched to a shark cordless from a Miele C3 and wish we did it sooner. The difference is night and day picking up pet hair from carpet and almost embarrassing what it picked up on the first use! Much easier to use, although on boost mode the battery dies drain quickly but normal mode easily does the whole house.

Which model is it, cos our shark stick thing is poor.

I'm after a new one as my Dyson absolute is 5 years old now and showing its age. The plastic around the trigger has snapped and it digs into your finger when vacuuming. Suction isn't so great now either. I've never thought it was a great product. A pain to empty the cylinder and a slightly flimsy feel to it.

What's recommended at the moment?

I have the IZ300 as well. Upgraded from a Henry Hoover and the difference is night and day.

Don't get me wrong, the Henry is a decent Vacuum cleaner but what a difference an agitator head makes with rotating brushes in the head. Being able to just pick-up-and-go with the Shark is also a great benefit compared to dragging a standard cleaner out, plugging it in and dragging it around.

I can't see if there is a practical difference between the older IZ201 and the 300 as I never had the 201 but the 300 is stated to have better suction and "power fins" on the head to get better agitation and therefore better cleaning on floors.

Having a digital display is also good to monitor battery levels.

Reviews look ok for it. I doubt the suction will be amazing and probably won't be that many attachments but I think it'll be decent enough.

Yeah... Reviews look decent, I'm hedging it'll be OK as I only have a small house, and it's super light so I'll be far more inclined to do a quick wizz round more frequently... Vacuuming is one thing I always put off as I hate it lol

Think I'll try a shark next black Friday. The vax is just so bad for me.

Might get a bit back on second hand market
